How is a CDP studentship different from an academic studentship?

CDP studentships are project based studentships. The research topic is not usually developed by the student but is developed by the partner organisation, often working closely with a member of HEI staff, and is determined by the partner organisation’s research needs.

CDP studentships are characterised by the working collaboration between the HEI partner, the cultural organisation, and the student. They offer students the opportunity to carry out their research within a working environment.

CDP students always have at least two supervisors, one in the partner organisation and one in the HEI
