Oxford University Museums Call for applications from University Supervisors to develop a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership project

Oxford University Museums are currently accepting applications from potential doctoral supervisors who wish to develop a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership project with one or more of Oxford University’s four museums (Ashmolean,  Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford University Museum of Natural History, Museum of the History of Science). The deadline for applications for studentships to start in October 2019 is 5pm on Friday 23 November 2018.

Oxford University Museums Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) studentship programme provides funded Ph.D. studentships that are jointly supervised through a partnership between a member of staff at Oxford University Museums (OU Museum) and an academic from a UK Higher Education Institution (HEI) (excluding Oxford University). The PhD student will be based at the partner HEI. The studentships are funded through an award from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) through the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership scheme. The studentships are fully funded for students ordinarily resident in the UK. Further information can be found here: www.ahrc.ac.uk/funding/opportunities/current/collaborativedoctoralpartnerships

Applicants are strongly advised to contact dan.hicks@prm.ox.ac.uk or harriet.warburton@glam.ox.ac.uk before submitting an application. For full details please see the Project Proposal Form and FAQs (pdf).
