History from Objects CDP Training 27th June 2017

This workshop is open to CDP students in any year

One day of workshops for students who work with objects in their research, with opportunities to present their research and learn from other people working in the field.

Location: Seminar Room A, Victorian & Albert Museum

10.00     Registration; morning refreshments

10.15 Introduction (Professor Bill Sherman, Director of Collections and Research, V&A)

10.25  Session 1: CDP student presentations (Chaired by Lauren Fried and Matt Wells, CDP students, V&A)

12.30  Lunch (w/ opportunity to visit the exhibition, generic accutane walmart ‘Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion’)

14.00  Session 2: Perspectives on Object-focused Research (Chaired by Dr Angela McShane, Senior Research Supervisor, V&A, with Professor Lesley Miller, Senior Curator, Textiles and Fashion, V&A, and Tim Stanley, Senior Curator, Asian Department, V&A)

15.30  Afternoon refreshments

16.00  African Heritage tour of Europe 1600–1815 Galleries

17.00  End of workshop followed by drinks in local pub
