Subject to AHRC eligibility criteria, the award will cover tuition fees and a standard AHRC grant (stipend) towards living expenses. CDP doctoral training grants fund full-time studentships for 45 months (or part-time equivalent) with the option for an additional 3 months of funding for student development activities. UKRI have now updated the stipend and fees for 2022/2023. These are as follows:
- UKRI minimum yearly stipend: £17,668
- Yearly fees – £4,596
- CDA Stipend payment – £550/year
- Students based at London-based Universities receive an additional £2,000/year
- Students based at London-based partner organisation (with a university outside of London) receive an additional £1,000/year.
Please note that students a both London-based universities and London-based partner organisation’s only receive the additional London weighting of £2,000/year.
Students also receive partner organisation research expenses in addition to the AHRC funding. This amount is confirmed by the partner organisation.
