Who is the best person to speak to if I have any questions about a specific advertised studentship?

How do I apply for a CDP studentship?
New studentships are usually advertised between January and March each year on this website on the Available Studentships page, and elsewhere. Some studentships are advertised later in the year. https://www.ahrc-cdp.org/category/available-studentships/
Who can apply for a CDP studentship?
You need to have, or will have, a Masters degree or equivalent relevant experience by the time the studentship starts. You also need to meet the AHRC’s UK residency requirements. What happens if I have to take parental leave during the studentship?

Studentships will be advertised as available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
How much is the CDP award?
Subject to AHRC eligibility criteria, the award will cover tuition fees and a standard AHRC grant (stipend) towards living expenses. CDP doctoral training grants fund full-time studentships for 45 months (or part-time equivalent) with the option for an additional 3 months of funding for student development activities. In addition to providing the lead supervisor for the studentship, the HEI partner are the registering body for the studentship, and are responsible for administering the studentship and CDP award in line with the AHRC’s terms and conditions. Can I propose my own topic for a CDP studentship?
No. The application is made by the HEI supervisor, usually along with a partner organisation supervisor. Some partner organisations may allow the supervisors to propose the name of a particular student who would study the topic, but not all.
